This brick-built former labourer's cottage was set in a beautiful location with extensive land surrounding but had fallen into complete disrepair.

The project required more than just refurbishment works in order to create an impressive, modern family home and included the addition of a two-storey extension, porch and detached double garage.

Complete re-design of the layout of the property was necessary to ensure the property worked for modern family living.

Tackling this run-down, impractical property created a challenge on two fronts: the complete re-design and refurbishment of the existing internal space, and the construction of additional buildings to create a modern family home that was fit for purpose.

The existing building, although structurally sound, had fallen in to complete disrepair. The internal layout was re-designed and the property was completely refurbished from top to bottom.

To create additional space, and accommodate the requirements of a modern family, a two-storey extension, porch and detached double garage were added.
